Location: Just north of Fort Lauderdale beach is a very small park called Vista Park.
LAT/LONG 26.188833, -80.093333
Description: Vista Park reef is a mostly flat reef in about ten feet of water with an abundance of life.
Notes For this Snorkel: Still getting the hang of using a paddleboard to snorkel from, but getting a lot better at it. Took my weight belt (but didn’t bring enough weight) and a 1.5 pound folding grapnel anchor in order to be able to relax and recharge on the board without drifting.
Visibility was at best fair, but at least that wasn’t a lot of current, unlike last time I went out and people were getting caught in rip currents.
